I was driving through a McDonald’s restaurant car park to grab food during my workday when another vehicle drove out at speed from a car park, in reverse, and struck the left front side of my vehicle. This resulted in a significant and jarring impact. I was able to extricate from the vehicle and I realised that I started getting neck pain radiating down to both shoulders.

Following this incident, I was reviewed by my GP, physiotherapist and an orthopaedic specialist who confirmed that I had sustained a cervical injury which caused debilitating symptoms and assessed me as developing cervical myelopathy from the incident. I underwent a double anterior cervical discectomy and fusion surgery for this surgery.

I continue to suffer from neck pain which radiates down to both shoulders even after the surgery and the symptoms affect my day-day activities. My life is not the same as what it used to be prior to this accident.

It was a great teamwork done by Rin Kim Law and I really appreciate that they explained things in a way that I could understand easily throughout my claim. This settlement gave me a chance to move forward with my life with financial stability.
